1. The short version
If you bought a report and haven't downloaded the PDF or opened the in-app reader, email refunds@nichetel.com within 14 days and we'll refund the full amount to your original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days.
2. Eligibility
Individual reports. Full refund within 14 days, provided you haven't downloaded the PDF and haven't opened the in-app reader.
Bundles (3-pack, 5-pack, 10-pack). Within 14 days, we refund the value of any reports in the bundle you haven't opened (using the equivalent single-report price). Reports you've already opened stay yours; you're only refunded the unused portion.
Intel Pass. Cancel anytime from workspace settings. We don't prorate mid-cycle; your access continues until the end of the current billing period and we won't bill again. If you cancel within 14 days of starting the Pass and haven't redeemed any reports in the cycle, email refunds@ for a full refund.
3. How "unused" is determined
- PDF download log: we record when you (or anyone using your account) downloads the PDF.
- In-app reader log: we record when the reader is opened on the report's page.
- For Intel Pass: redemption is tracked when you mark a report as redeemed for that month from your dashboard.
If any of those logs show activity for the report you want to refund, we'll explain which event we're relying on. If you believe the log is wrong (e.g. someone else used your account), say so in your refund email. We'll look into it.
4. How to request a refund
Two ways:
- Email refunds@nichetel.com with the order number (format:
NCH-YYYY-XXXXXX) and a sentence on why. - Use the contact form with subject set to "Refund".
You don't need to explain at length. "Changed my mind" is enough.
5. Processing timeline
We respond to refund emails within 1 business day. Once approved, the refund is issued to your original payment method. Most card networks then take 5 to 10 business days to show the credit on your statement.
6. Partial refunds
If part of your bundle has been used and part hasn't, we refund the unused portion at the equivalent single-report price. Example: you bought a 3-pack for €25 and opened one deep-dive report (€35 retail). The two remaining unopened reports refund at €15 each (their equivalent single-report value), so you get €30 back.
If the math goes against you (e.g. you opened the most expensive report in a bundle), we round in your favour at our discretion.
7. Exceptions
- Reports you've downloaded or opened (see §3).
- Refund requests after the 14-day window: we'll consider exceptional cases (e.g. report was clearly defective) at our discretion.
- Accounts with active chargeback disputes (see §8).
- Reports you've already received a credit for.
8. Chargebacks and disputes
If you file a chargeback with your card issuer instead of contacting us, we'll cooperate with the card network's process. Refund processing is suspended on accounts with active chargebacks pending resolution. We'd much rather refund you directly than fight a chargeback. Please email us first; it's faster.
9. Escalation
If the refund team disagrees with your request and you think they're wrong, email support@nichetel.com with subject "Refund escalation: [order number]". A senior editor reviews escalations within 3 business days. Our decision is final, except for any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.
