Start with the decision

What budget remains after confirmed spend and open commitments?

Small-business operators comparing their own cost assumptions.

From input to next step.

  1. 01

    Choose a consistent basis

Assign each cost to one category and use one event edition.

  2. 02

    Enter the assumptions

Reconcile actual spend and outstanding commitments from real records. Remove a commitment when it becomes actual spend.

  3. 03

    Review the result

Review negative headroom and unbudgeted costs with the event owner before authorising additional spend.

Before you use the result.

  • A budget is not payment authorisation.
  • Keep recoverable deposits separate where appropriate.
  • This is not a complete event profit calculation.

An event-spend control worksheet, not bookkeeping.
